Something I’ve always had stuck in the back of my mind is a desire to build my own boat. Since days in my childhood when I’d push the battered, leaking rowing boat out onto the pond beside the green where I used to play, I’ve always secretly been a sailor deep down inside.

Now that I find myself with slightly more in the way of disposable time and income I’ve decided to start really looking into this boat building idea. I’ve scoured the internet for free plans and often come up with some good results, however I’m slightly wary about using plans obtained for free.

There’s a massive collection of books on amazon loaded with detailed plans on boat building, including techniques and examples of all kind of vessels.
